Ayao is one of the less common Orishas in the Lucumí house, so her tools can be hard to find. This set of herramientas de Ayao is made in copper and ready for her fundamento.
Who is Ayao?
Ayao is the Orisha of the air and the whirlwind, known as the sister of Oyá. She's closely tied to the forest and to Osain, and she's received in specific ceremonies. Because she's not received as often as other Orishas, many botanicas don't stock her tools.
Why copper?
Copper is a traditional metal for many Orishas' tools. It has a warm color, it holds detail well, and it develops a natural patina over time.
