What does a consultation include?

• A full divination reading: an in depth reading that looks at your past experiences, current circumstances and the paths open to you, using traditional divination.
• Your questions answered: ask about decisions, relationships, work or anything weighing on you, and receive honest, compassionate answers guided by the Orishas.
• Spiritual prescriptions (ebó): based on your reading, you'll receive specific recommendations, such as offerings or ritual work, to remove negative influences, clear obstacles and attract blessings.

Who leads the consultation?

Every consultation is led by Oba Oriate Nelson Hernández, Santero, maestro de ceremonias and president of Botánica El Viejo Lázaro. He has decades of experience in Lucumí tradition and has guided practitioners in Miami and around the world since the store opened in 2003.

During the session. Oba Oriate Nelson Hernández will explain exactly what offerings or items are needed, and you can get them from our botanica in store or online.

Can I book a consultation for someone else?

You can buy a consultation as a gift, but the person receiving the reading should be the one in the session. You're welcome to ask about family matters that affect you during your own reading.
