Romerillo is the little plant with white petals and yellow centers that pops up in yards and roadsides all over Miami. It may look humble, but in the botanica it's a trusted cleansing herb. Each order is one fresh bunch.
What is Romerillo used for?
Romerillo is used in spiritual baths and floor washes to clear heavy energy, calm the home and refresh the spirit. Its white flowers make it a natural fit for clean, peaceful baths, and many people connect it with Obatalá.
How do people use it?
- Cleansing baths: the leaves and flowers are torn into water for a calming bath.
- Floor washes: the water is used to clean the house from back to front.
- Despojos: the bunch is passed over the body to remove heavy energy.
It mixes well with other cleansing herbs like Salvia. Your godparent or olorisha will tell you how it fits into your own work, since every house has its own way.
Why buy it from El Viejo Lázaro?
Fresh herbs move fast at our store on W Flagler St, which keeps the stock turning and the bunches green. We've served Miami's religious community since 2003, and we ship herbs anywhere in the country so you can get what your godparent asked for even if you're far from a botanica.
