This compact sopera is made to be Oyá's home, where her otanes and fundamento rest. At about 10 by 10 inches it's an affordable, space saving choice for a smaller shelf or canastillero.
Who is Oyá and why does she need a sopera?
Oyá is the Orisha of the winds, storms, lightning and the gates of the cemetery. She's a fierce warrior and the companion of Changó. In Lucumí practice her sacred stones are kept inside a covered sopera, and her colors and decorations reflect her strong, changing nature.
What size is it?
