Paraíso is a classic cleansing herb in Cuban spiritual practice, used when you want to clear out what's holding you down and start rising again. Each order is one fresh bunch, ready for a bath or a despojo.
What is Paraíso used for?
Paraíso is used in despojos and spiritual baths to remove negative energy and open the way for progress. People reach for it when they want to move up at work, improve their situation or bring a fresh start into the home.
How do people use it?
- Despojo bath: the leaves are torn into water and used to cleanse the body from the neck down.
- Home cleansing: the water is used to wash floors and doorways to clear out heavy energy.
- Limpieza: the bunch is passed over the body and then discarded outside the home.
Paraíso is often combined with Abre Camino or Albahaca. Ask your godparent or olorisha which mix fits your situation.
