Abre Camino means "open the road," and it's exactly what people ask for when things feel stuck. It's our best selling herb online, the first one many people reach for when a job, a relationship or a plan just won't move. Each order is one fresh bunch.
What is Abre Camino used for?
Abre Camino is used in spiritual baths and cleansings to clear blocks, remove what's holding you back and open the way to new opportunities, work and good luck. In many houses it's connected with Elegguá, the Orisha who opens and closes the roads. Botanically it's a species of Eupatorium.
How do people use it?
- Road opening baths: the leaves are torn into water for a bath before a job interview, a move or any new start.
- Despojos: the bunch is passed over the body to clear heavy energy that's blocking your path.
- Home and business: the water is used to wash the front door and entrance so good things can come in.
- Combined baths: it pairs well with Vencedor, guayaba or Para Mí.
Your godparent or olorisha will tell you how many baths to take and what to combine it with, since every house has its own way.
Why buy it from El Viejo Lázaro?
We've been a botanica in Miami since 2003, led by Oba Oriate Nelson Hernández. In Lucumí practice every ewe belongs to Osain, the Orisha of the forest, so we treat these leaves with respect from the day they come in. We ship Abre Camino fresh anywhere in the United States.
